Easy Anti-Aging Face Wipes

facewipes

I love face wipes, but absolutely hate buying them. I can't tell you how many times I've had to run to CVS in the wee hours of the night because I've totally ran out. Dramatic? Yes. Necessary? Absolutely.

A swipe of a face wipe, followed with my favorite face wash always leaves my skin incredibly clean feeling. So when I'm out of them, it just never feels the same. In an effort to minimize my late night drugstore runs, I decided to try making my own.

These are completely customizable, so feel free to swap out the essential oils based on your particular skin type. I recommend tea tree if you suffer from acne, geranium or rose if you're looking to treat pigmentation, etc. Do some research and find what would work best for you. For me, I decided to go the anti-aging route and stick with Frankincense as the essential oil of choice. It gets to work on wrinkles and keeps my complexion radiant. If aging is something you're concerned with, give these a go!

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1/4 teaspoon liquid castile soap
  • 1/2 tablespoon fractionated coconut oil (found in most health food stores)
  • 5 drops Frankincense (or any essential oil you please)
  • Package of round facial cotton pads (be sure they're for the face!)
  • Mason jar

Directions:
Mix all of the wet ingredients together and set aside. Next up, fill a mason jar with as many cotton rounds as you can fit. Pour the wet ingredients over the cotton, place lid on jar and let sit for 30-45 minutes.
