Quick Tip: How to De-puff, Fast

Puffiness, it's a constant battle. And whether it's caused from fluid retention, sodium-filled foods or simply an emotional day, it's never something we welcome. Here's three things I do on the regular to battle it:

Caffeine-Based Eye Cream: If you're one of those people who can't live without a cup of coffee in the morning, your caffeine dependency is about to grow — it's one of the most effective ingredients for de-puffing eyes. But before you start slathering coffee beans on your face, opt for the more subtle approach with an eye cream. A caffeine-based eye cream helps to constrict blood vessels and giving an immediate boost. I never travel without one, as it's the perfect solution to post-travel tired eyes.

Ice Facial: If you follow me on Instagram, there's a good chance you've seen me rub ice all over my face on Instastories. Yep, you read that right — ice cubes on the face. I prefer to call it an "ice facial" and it's one of the cheapest, most effective things you can do to de-puff (and help heal any acne flare ups). Toss a few ice cubes in a wash cloth or paper towel and rub onto a freshly washed face (30 seconds for each area) in small, circular motions for up to 5 minutes. Definition will be restored within the face, redness should reduce and you'll get a nice glow, too!

I should also mention, if you're not into the ice cube thing. Try an Ice roller. They work just as well, without all the mess of melting water.

Lymphatic Massage: My latest and greatest obsession. Detox your lymphatic system all while de-puffing and defining your face. While it sounds complicated, rest assured it's not. Learn more about the technique and benefits here.
